Changing subscription plan from yearly to monthly
You can change the subscription plan by going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Billing Info’ & clicking on ‘Change Subscription’. When you change the subscription plan we apply prorated credit that is applied on the new plan payment.
As an example see the screenshot that shows a workspace with 10 members that is paying yearly. On the 1st January there is a yearly invoice for the period up until 1st January, 2023. On the 20th February the workspace owner decides to switch from a yearly plan to a monthly plan. The prorated credit calculation says that these 10 members already paid for 315 days (from 20th February, 2022 to 1st January, 2023) which they now won’t use, & so this becomes the credit total. We can see that this credit amount of $120 is subtracted from the invoice total for the monthly plan payment for February, reducing it to $0, leaving $915 as remaining credit. For each of the next 7 monthly payments the cost is reduced to $0 as there is still credit to cover the payment. By the monthly payment on 20th October the remaining credit is $75 & so the overall cost is reduced to $45.
